Job Advert: HR Pensions Consultant

Contract Type: Temporary

Daily Rate: £600 - £750

Contract Length: 12 months

Working Pattern: Full Time


Are you an experienced HR Pensions Consultant looking to make a significant impact? Join our client’s dedicated team, supporting the trustees of their UK and Ireland pension arrangements.

As a key member of a small team, you will work with a diverse range of pension plans, including a combined DB and DC Pension Plan with approximately £4bn in assets, alongside various legacy plans. Your expertise will ensure that these plans are governed to the highest standards and comply with UK Pensions legislation.


Key Responsibilities:

* Addressing employee and member queries via a central mailbox
* Preparing monthly contribution files and running payroll control checks
* Managing annual updates for the UK pension plan
* Coordinating HR file transfers with third-party administrators
* Conducting analysis and reporting for quarterly pension trustee meetings
* Assisting with invoicing and expenses of third-party suppliers
* Supporting flexible benefits enrolment and annual benefit statement testing
* Assisting with meeting pack creation for various bank pension arrangements


Key Requirements:

* A relevant pensions qualification (e.g., APMI/FPMI) preferred
* Experience managing complex Pensions Schemes (DB and DC)
* A solid understanding of UK Pensions Plans within an operations or administration function
* Familiarity with governance frameworks in an international organisation
* Excellent technical and analytical skills related to UK pensions
* Knowledge of Trustee board operations and requirements
* Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
* High proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUP and PivotTables) and strong skills in Word and PowerPoint
* A process-driven approach with experience in creating procedural documents
