About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner to be the key link between our procurement team and internal stakeholders. This role ensures all procurement activity aligns with strategic goals, delivers value for money, and meets legal and regulatory requirements. You will provide strategic guidance on sourcing and contract management, lead procurement projects, and help teams get the most from their supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Strategy & Planning: Develop sourcing and contract management strategies; create category plans and business plans.
* Market Insight: Research markets, provider trends, and opportunities to maximize value and efficiency.
* Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and other public sector partners.
* Contract Management: Support contract owners in managing contracts effectively and in line with legislation.
* Compliance & Risk: Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws and policies; work with legal and finance teams on risk assessments and contract drafting.
* Savings & Value: Identify cost savings, efficiency improvements, and ways to increase social value.
* Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop team members; set objectives and monitor performance.
* Reporting & Insights: Provide regular updates and reports on procurement activity, contract performance, and risk.
* Collaboration & Innovation: Encourage new approaches, process improvements, and best practice procurement methods.
Who We're Looking For
Experience & Skills:
* Extensive procurement experience, ideally in the public sector.
* Strong knowledge of procurement legislation and best practices.
* Proven experience in contract lifecycle management and tender processes.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Experience leading teams and managing change.
* Proficient with e-procurement systems and standard IT tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply and MCIPS membership preferred.
* PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner is desirable.
