About the Role
APL Media is hiring a Lead Deliverability & Cold Outreach Consultant to own and optimise the performance of all outbound email campaigns. Based in our Kentish Town office, you’ll partner closely with our B2B commercial team to strengthen deliverability, increase engagement, and protect domain reputation at scale.

Our Media Sales Consultants rely on high-performing cold outreach campaigns to connect with thousands of potential clients every day. We’re now looking for a senior deliverability expert to take full ownership of the systems, strategy, and safeguards that make those campaigns succeed.
You’ll combine deep technical knowledge with strategic insight — building, protecting, and scaling a deliverability framework that underpins all outbound communication. Your expertise will determine whether high-value messages reach the inbox or vanish into spam filters, directly impacting revenue and client acquisition performance.
You will collaborate closely within a team environment, taking an active role in supporting, guiding, and mentoring key team members to nurture their development and enhance overall team performance.

Core Responsibilities
Deliverability Audits & Strategy
* Conduct in-depth audits of all cold outreach domains, IPs, and mail streams.
* Diagnose root causes of deliverability degradation, spam folder placement, or low engagement.
* Develop and oversee sender reputation strategies tailored to high-volume cold email environments.
* Produce clear executive-level reports and actionable recommendations.
Cold Outreach Infrastructure Management
* Build and maintain scalable sending infrastructures — including domain and subdomain hierarchies for prospecting campaigns.
* Manage SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DNS configurations to ensure authentication integrity.
* Implement advanced warm‑up, throttling, and rotation strategies to maintain deliverability while scaling outreach volume.
* Evaluate and integrate deliverability tools (Google Postmaster, GlockApps, Warmbox, Instantly, Validity/Everest and Workbooks CRM).
Performance Optimisation
* Partner with Sales leadership to optimise sending cadence, personalisation, and engagement patterns.
* Run experiments to improve inbox placement and response rates across different ESPs and sending platforms (HubSpot, Lemlist, Instantly, Mailshake, etc.).
* Develop dashboards to track deliverability KPIs, reputation scores, and campaign health.
* Identify and prioritise quick wins that directly increase booked meetings and conversion rates.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure all outreach aligns with GDPR, CAN‑SPAM, and other global data and consent regulations.
* Create internal playbooks on responsible prospecting, list hygiene, and opt‑out management.
* Provide regular deliverability training to sales and marketing teams.

* Complete a comprehensive deliverability audit of all cold outreach systems.
* Deliver an actionable roadmap addressing domain setup, warm‑up sequences, and list hygiene.
90 Days
* Deploy automated monitoring and alert systems for reputation, blacklist status, and engagement trends.
* Establish standard operating procedures for domain rotation, authentication, and compliance.
180 Days
* Demonstrate measurable improvements in inbox placement, open rates, and reply rates.
* Build a scalable, repeatable outreach deliverability framework supporting all sales teams and business units.
Experience & Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience managing or advising on cold email deliverability in B2B environments.
* Expert knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and domain reputation management.
* Proven success improving inbox placement and reply rates across large‑scale outbound campaigns.
* Hands‑on experience with cold outreach and automation platforms (Instantly, Lemlist, Mailshake, Outreach, HubSpot, etc.).
* Deep understanding of Gmail and Microsoft deliverability ecosystems.
* Strong analytical and communication skills — able to influence both technical and commercial stakeholders.
* Experience managing multi-domain cold email infrastructure at scale.
* Knowledge of advanced authentication (BIMI) and tracking avoidance techniques.
* Background in sales enablement, CRM optimisation, or audience acquisition.
* Familiarity with AI‑driven prospecting tools and deliverability automation systems.
* Knowledge of workbooks CRM.
