As a Territory Sales Manager, you will develop and drive the business strategy for the PPG Trade Direct segment, aiming to stimulate improved sales, margin and market share performance. The role involves using the PPG sales methodology to provide market expertise and facilitate significant growth across Trade Direct, delivering a comprehensive solution within your sales ledger. Key job parameters include driving sales, ensuring growth and increased market share while executing an exceptional customer experience. Your key territories will be Nottingham, Sheffield, Derby and Lincoln.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for circa £6MM sales and associated product portfolio via PPG Total Coating Solution offering.
* Report to the Regional Sales Manager and operate within a wider sales team, accountable for sales, margin and annual budget delivery.
* Create and implement a territory strategy to deliver significant growth in Trade Direct sales.
* Provide support and collaborate with UK & Ireland support functions.
* Align with PPG Company values and ensure delivery of the UK&I growth strategy and its objectives.
* Develop and implement a growth plan for your territory to achieve sales, margin and market share growth.
* Deliver and embody the PPG Way to Lead by consistently demonstrating leadership qualities, fostering a culture of excellence and assisting the team towards achieving strategic goals.
* Adhere to and execute PPG’s preferred sales methodology, incorporating selling machine principles, process and KPIs.
* Maintain customer records and interactions in accordance with company guidelines, fully utilising Clientlink and other digital platforms to meet budgets and enhance performance.
* Provide accurate forecasting for your sales ledger, projecting expected sales volume and profit for both existing and new product.
* Promote the company product portfolio and promotional activity to new and existing customers adhering to company pricing architecture.
* Act as an ambassador at all company and corporate events, ensuring PPG values are upheld.
* Maximise productivity, customer coverage & service levels through effective journey planning.
* Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
* Ensure customer accounts align with credit terms to maintain business liquidity.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Complete and submit all administrative tasks within timescales and standards to allow management review.
* Act safely, ethically and responsibly, always complying with PPG policies.
Candidate Profile
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.
* Proven track record in a professional selling environment.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, with strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
* PC literate and numerate, with high attention to detail.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage and deliver sales and margin budgets.
* Intelligent, personable and articulate with strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical ability and high levels of numeracy.
* Highly organised, self‑managed and self‑motivated.
* Ability to work effectively in a large cross‑functional team.
* Strong team player, capable of managing multiple challenges.
