Job Description:
An engaging and knowledgeable Geography Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent boarding secondary school for boys aged 11-18 in Brent for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students with the diversity of our planet and the interconnectedness of human and physical environments.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 4 and 5.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts.
* Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages geographical inquiry, critical thinking about global issues, and fieldwork.
* Assess and monitor student progress in Geography, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
* Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 4 and 5.
* Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and current issues.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to make geography engaging.
* Inner London Payscale.
