The Green Recruitment Company is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Grid Connection Specialist to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to a Utility Scale Solar PV & Energy Storage Project. This role is based in the scenic region of North Devon and offers a rewarding contract for an ambitious professional keen to make an impact in the renewable energy sector.
About the Role:
As a Grid Connection Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the grid connection process for a significant Solar PV & Energy Storage project. Your expertise will ensure that all technical aspects of grid connection comply with national standards and project specifications. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the project with the national grid.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and evaluate grid connection schemes to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
2. Liaise with utility companies and regulatory bodies to negotiate and secure grid connections.
3. Monitor progress and provide solutions to any potential connection issues.
4. Coordinate with project engineers to integrate grid connection solutions with overall project design.
5. Prepare and present detailed reports on grid connection status and progress.
Requirements:
6. Proven experience as a Grid Connection Specialist or similar role in the renewable energy sector.
7. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to solar energy and storage systems.
8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
10. Relevant engineering degree or professional qualification.
