HVAC Prototype Build Technician - Product Development

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) develops and manufactures advanced cooling solutions for aerospace, military, commercial, and government markets. Our products include heat pipes, pumped liquid cooling, and thermal storage devices, used in cutting-edge technologies requiring innovative thermal management.
Due to rapid growth, we have an immediate opening for a full-time Prototype Build Technician to support design, machining, assembly, and testing of engineering projects. ACT offers a competitive salary, a 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), potential overtime, and benefits including health plans, 401k with match, paid life and disability, holidays, paid time off, and profit sharing.
Position Summary: The Prototype Build Technician will work in our York facility, focusing on assembly, troubleshooting, and supporting first-time builds and low-volume production. Collaboration with engineering is essential to ensure products meet customer requirements and are optimized for future production. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting, and handling materials safely and efficiently.

Requirements
* High school diploma or GED
* Technical school certificate or minimum of 3 years related experience
* Must be a US Person under ITAR restrictions (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
* Adherence to safety standards and regulations
* Ability to read calipers and tape measures
* Proficiency with mechanical tools (saws, drill press, power tools)
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
* Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality
* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
* Hands-on fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting skills
* Problem-solving abilities in product and prototype manufacturing
Highly Desirable:
* Experience with industrial HVAC equipment assembly, testing, troubleshooting
* Knowledge of refrigeration concepts
* EPA Section 608 Certification (Level 1 & 2)
* Brazing Certification (AWS C3.4, B2.2, or ASME Section IX)
* Welding experience
* CAD / SolidWorks proficiency
* Microsoft Excel skills
