About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Refuse HGV Class 2 Driver to join our waste management team based in Chorley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, service, and teamwork.
As a Refuse Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of domestic and/or commercial waste across designated routes, working closely with loaders and the operations team.
Key Responsibilities

Operate a Class 2 (Category C) refuse vehicle safely and efficiently
*
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
*
Follow planned collection routes and schedules
*
Work collaboratively with the refuse collection team
*
Ensure compliance with all road transport and health & safety regulations
*
Provide professional and courteous service to the public
*
Complete all required paperwork and digital records accurately
Requirements
*
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
*
Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
*
Previous experience in refuse or waste collection driving preferred
*
Good knowledge of driver hours and regulations
*
Strong awareness of health & safety practices
*
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
*
Good communication and teamwork skills
*
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
Working Hours

Monday to Friday
*
Early starts (typically 4:00am)
