About Us
Our team provides an Occupational Therapy service to the community of Helensburgh and Lomond. We are an Integrated Occupational Therapy Team based in the VICC in Helensburgh and work primarily with the adult population. Peer support is provided by our experienced wider Occupational Therapy team with a broad range of specialisms and areas of special interest and CPD is fully supported.
About The Role
This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 6 to join our Integrated Occupational Therapy Team in a key role. You will work as part of a team of Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioner OT’s and Healthcare Support Workers, working across Community, Reablement and Hospital Prevention and Discharge.
You will have a broad skill mix as required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting and will be required to carry a complex caseload of patient needs within the community setting. You will be responsible for providing day to day supervision and support to the OT team including your peers and junior staff. You will be expected to support the Occupational Therapy Team Lead and deputise when required, and work closely with a range of both statutory and third sector organisations.
About You
Essential: The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and confident individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good self‑awareness and the ability to work as part of a team. They should be conscientious, calm and able to adapt to change or unpredictable circumstances.
Candidate must hold a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered, have a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Benefits and Additional Information
* Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours with part‑time hours adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
