We are a busy professional bookkeeping bureau who are expanding our fun and friendly team in Southampton and are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Senior Bookkeepers.
You’ll need a strong bookkeeping background with an experienced background in VAT returns, management accounts, payroll & pensions. Strong communication skills are important as we offer hybrid working, so you need to be able to work efficiently at home with teams & telephone communications.
If you have a passion for bookkeeping, then SinglePoint is for you. We have well established relationships with experienced accountants, so we leave the accounting work to them so that we can focus on the nitty gritty, day to day details.
Due to the technical nature of this role, we can only consider candidates with a recent background in either a bookkeeping practice or accountancy practice.
About the role of Senior Bookkeeper:
1. Reconciliation of bank accounts & credit cards, including Shopify, PayPal & Amazon Seller accounts
2. Dealing with payroll, pensions & month end journals
3. Producing management accounts where required
4. Balance sheet, Profit & Loss and Trial Balance analysis
5. The balancing of intercompany loans
6. Credit control
7. Dealing with client queries by email and telephone
8. On-going support and consultancy with clients
What we need from you:
1. In-depth general bookkeeping knowledge across a range of industries
2. Strong knowledge of Trial balance & balance sheet reconciliations
3. Payroll experience from start to completion including Auto enrolment, Re-enrolment & re-declarations
4. Excellent proficiency in Xero essential, QBO and Sage desirable
5. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products including One Drive
6. A full driving license and your own vehicle would be an advantage
Internal systems training will be given where required, however you must have a solid bookkeeping foundation as this is a demanding role. This role is perfect for someone who can manage their time well and re-prioritise daily. It is a challenging role but is also a very rewarding.
