Job summary
Are you an experienced Social Worker, Nurse or Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting young people and their families? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community CAMHS team in the East of the county.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges, while also contributing to the leadership and development of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for a practitioner who is confident working in a fast-paced environment, has strong clinical leadership skills, and is committed to delivering compassionate, young person-centred care.
A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and appropriate business insurance are essential for this role.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
* Deliver comprehensive assessments, evidence-based treatments, and psychosocial interventions to young people referred to the service
* Provide consultation, advice, and clinical input to colleagues across the team
* Ensure that families and carers are actively supported, informed, and involved in the care process
* Take a proactive role in managing clinical risk and promoting a collaborative, recovery-focused approach
* Contribute to the ongoing development of service systems and processes that improve care delivery
* Provide clinical supervision and support to team members and participate in service evaluation and development
* Liaise effectively with a broad network of internal and external agencies

Qualifications
Essential
* Recognised professional qualification at degree or equivalent level in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing
Desirable
* Have a Recognised qualification in assessing autism
Experience
Essential
* Experience and understanding of Safeguarding Children and other relevant legislation and policies
Desirable
* Experience of working with children and young people.
Additional Criteria
Essential
* Knowledge of a wide range of evidence-based treatment/therapeutic interventions.
Desirable
* Knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders and Neurodevelopmental disorders in children and young people, and their impact on both the client group and their families/carers.
