We are looking for a Production Manager for our Product Fabrication / HIP facility in Chesterfield. We are a small team working together to meet customer expectations.
The successful candidate will manage multi-scope customer orders through encapsulation, HIP and subcontract operations. Manage internal projects to develop materials, applications, and processes for PF HIP sales growth. Working with managers to develop engineering practices, equipment, and factory organisation. The job role provides a great opportunity for someone who is considering a move to production management.
Main responsibilities:
1. Manage orders through in-house and outwork operations in line with customer specifications ensuring quality expectations and delivery schedules are met
2. Ownership of overall project plan and responsible for communicating key milestone dates and planning resources required
3. Responsible for maintaining a customer-centric planning data base for effective order processing and forecast planning
4. Manage processes control documentation, co-ordinate customer witness points, and review of outwork inspection and test reports for inclusion in document release packs
5. Assist in the supply of Import / Export instructions and review of clearance documents in accordance with HMRC
6. Manage the intercompany transfer of work to UK / European HIP sites release of parts post HIP including packing and shipment
7. Maintain accurate records and archive release documents for retention and storage
8. Assist other departments in day to day operation of the site and collaboration in sales and technical projects to develop new customers, parts and markets
Qualifications, experience and skills:
9. BSC Hons Metallurgy or Engineering discipline, or demonstrable experience in managing operations, quality and projects
