Principal Recruitment Consultant - Civil and Structural Engineering
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to join a well-established, design-led consultancy working on an exciting mix of projects across the UK. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, technical excellence, and professional development. You’ll take on responsibility for your own projects, working closely with senior engineers and partners who remain hands-on in design. The role offers a balance of involvement in major landmark schemes as well as smaller, bespoke developments, giving you the variety to refine your technical and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities
* Work on award-winning projects alongside a diverse and talented team.
* Enjoy a genuinely collaborative culture where partners and senior engineers are actively involved day-to-day.
* Preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
* Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings.
* Conformance to accredited processes and procedures as recognised within the industry.
* Implementing fundamental knowledge and understanding of structural engineering design and the application and principles.
* Working on innovative and sustainable engineering projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
* Using AutoCAD, MasterSeries and TEDDS as well as STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit.
* Based within the Oxford area.
* Commercial awareness of costing, budgets and quotations.
Qualifications
* 4+ years experience in structural engineering, ideally across a diverse range of projects.
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (IStructE/ICE accredited).
* Near Chartered or Chartered status preferred.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with architects, clients, and colleagues.
* Be based within the Oxford area.
