Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and machining processes, with the ability to create precise programmes for CNC machinery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience, ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
* Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling and other machining operations.
* Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to ensure accurate fabrication of components.
* Operate CNC machines, including setting up tooling and fixtures for production runs.
* Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot programming issues and implement improvements.
* Utilise SolidWorks and other CAD software to design and modify parts as required.
* Perform materials handling and assembly tasks as necessary within the production environment.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating machinery and handling tools.
Skills
* Proficient in fabrication techniques and processes, with hands-on experience in milling operations.
* Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration with CNC machinery.
* Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and mechanical design principles.
* Excellent mechanical knowledge, including the use of hand tools for assembly and repair tasks.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations relevant to machining processes.
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
* Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining operations is essential.
