OA are recruiting for a Test Engineer to join a highly skilled and dynamic Test Team based in Stevenage. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a successful, forward-thinking electronics company that is continuing to grow and expand its technical capabilities.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 4:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 pm
Main Duties of a Test Engineer
1. Fault-find PCBs and electronic units to component level (digital & analogue)
2. Use computer-based test programs and schematic drawings for diagnostics
3. Inspect boards and assemblies against production drawings and specifications
4. Operate ATE (Automated Test Equipment) and Flying Probe systems
5. Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power supplies, and other test tools
6. Provide detailed test feedback and reports to support quality improvement
7. Maintain calibration and performance of test equipment, jigs, and fixtures
8. Ensure engineering changes align with production requirements
9. Work within ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev D quality standards
10. Support the company’s environmental policies and procedures
Personal Specification of a Test Engineer
11. GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English, Maths, and Science
12. Proficient in using test tookks (PSUs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators)
13. Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and diagrams
14. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
15. Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach
