* Engaging with internal and externalstakeholders to ensure customer and business needs are satisfiedappropriately, proactively solving problems and issues when theyarise
Liaisingwith other Combat System technical design leads, and the RCD CSTechnical Authority (TA) to ensure coherency across the CombatSystem and the incorporation of RCD wholeship and sub-systemrequirements Customerfacing role which will require competency within the Combat Systemsdomain, acting as the SME in area ofresponsibility Supportdesign change and design improvement from existing platformbaselines to ensure the design intent of the platform ismaintained Technicaldesign lead for the definition of Combat System design rules andmanagement of all deviations for the CSTeam Technicaldesign lead in support of physical integration undertakingtechnical work activities within a systems engineeringcontext Technicaldesign lead in providing support to the platform and detail designteams for defining the requirements for Combat System equipment innon-Combat System compartments
Your skills andexperiences: Essential:
Arelevant degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, with ademonstration of suitable experience/competency in CombatSystems Member ofa professional organisation and holds Chartered Engineering (C.Eng)status (or working towards) Previousexperience of managing a technical team and can provide coachingand mentoring to others within the Combat Systems team to supporttheir development Has actedas a Combat Systems SME within a complexprogramme
Desirable:
Understanding of System Engineering design Lifecyclewithin an Engineering to Order (ETO) programme Experience in fast-paced environment using SME knowledgeto solve integration challenges to keep the project ontrack
Applicants should ideally beDegree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in atechnology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold anotherequivalent professional registration with a relevantinstitution.

TheRiver Class Destroyer (RCD) Combat Systemsteam: The BAE Systems River ClassDestroyer (RCD) Combat Systems team provides the expertise tophysically integrate the Combat Systems sub-system equipment,working within a complex engineering to order warship designprogramme. Your skills and experience will enhance the existing CSTeam to ensure Right First-Time deliverables to our customer. Therole will provide the opportunity to develop and enhance your owncompetency levels, with the potential to lead into management roleswithin the Combat Systems domain.
