Location: primarily remote with minimal travel; Arden locations include Coventry head office, Birmingham campus, Leeds campus, Nottingham campus, Manchester campus, and London area (Stratford, Holborn & Ealing).
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 per annum

The role – Wellbeing Adviser (Priority Groups)
Arden University works to ensure Higher Education is accessible to as many students as possible by addressing barriers to application and engagement and by providing support to help students succeed. You will help shape this new role, supporting refugee and asylum-seeker students across Arden to enable them to achieve their study goals.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of Arden’s Wellbeing Services to support refugee and asylum-seeker students.
* Provide pastoral support and career advice to students from application to graduation.
* Help identify and address potential barriers to learning and engagement.
* Deliver information and guidance in a clear, accessible manner; present and/or conduct workshops as needed.
About You
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Wellbeing Adviser (Priority Groups) with the following experience.
Essential requirements
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification or experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including listening) and competent IT skills
* Strong organisational skills; able to prioritise, work with minimal supervision, and make independent and collaborative decisions
* Ability to explain information clearly and help others adopt a viewpoint; capable of giving presentations and/or conducting workshops
* Experience of working with refugee or asylum-seeker students from diverse backgrounds in Higher Education
* Working knowledge of safeguarding
Desirable requirements
* Level 2 or above safeguarding qualification
* Experience in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) or Access and Participation initiatives in Higher Education
* Experience delivering training and workshops
