Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic COO to join the executive leadership team and play a key role in driving operational excellence, scalability, and sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for the following core duties and responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day global operations, covering freight forwarding (air, sea, and land), customs clearance, warehousing, and supply chain management.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
* Lead digital transformation initiatives including automation, process optimization, and technology adoption.
* Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, trade laws, and industry standards.
* Manage full P&L responsibility for operations, focusing on cost efficiency and long-term revenue growth.
* Build and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric service delivery.
* Partner with the CEO and executive team to define long-term business strategies and global expansion goals.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, carriers, and regulatory bodies.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global operations team.
* Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to ensure service excellence and delivery performance.

The Successful Applicant
In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:
* Bachelor's degree
* Master's degree (preferred)
* 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management
* Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding processes, customs compliance, and global trade regulations
* Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-region operations
* Proven P&L management experience with a strong financial and commercial acumen
* Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
* Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and drive operational compliance
* Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution
* Familiarity with logistics technology platforms
* Ability to travel approx 1 week/ month.
