The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and detail-driven Accreditation and Visa Coordinator to join our Accreditation team within the Games Services & Venues (GSV) function.

This role will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of accreditation and visa operations for Glasgow 2026, ensuring athletes, officials, workforce, and Games Family stakeholders can access venues and participate in the Games seamlessly.

Working closely with the Accreditation Operations Manager and Visa Manager, you will support the coordination of accreditation facility operations and visa processes, contributing to the successful delivery of accreditation services across all Games venues. This is a hands-on operational role, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of a world-class international sporting event.

Job Summary:

As Accreditation and Visa Coordinator, you will support the operational delivery of accreditation and visa services across the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, helping ensure athletes, officials, workforce, media, and Games Family stakeholders can access venues and participate in the Games efficiently and securely.

You will assist in the planning and operational readiness of accreditation facilities across competition and non-competition venues, supporting venue operational planning activities and helping ensure facilities, equipment, materials, and systems are prepared for delivery. You will coordinate the preparation and distribution of accreditation materials, support the configuration and maintenance of the accreditation system, and help ensure accurate data management, reporting, and tracking throughout the accreditation process.

You will also support visa coordination for international stakeholders, assisting with visa documentation, tracking application progress, maintaining accurate records, and responding to stakeholder queries. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will contribute to accreditation readiness, workforce training support, and Games-time operations, helping ensure a smooth and secure experience for all participants.

This role will evolve as Games planning progresses, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute across planning, testing, and Games-time delivery phases.

Key Skills and Experience:

We are looking for someone with experience working in a fast-paced operational, events, or project environment, who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and contributing to complex delivery programmes. You will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records and manage data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

You will be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and database platforms, and comfortable working with operational systems and tracking tools. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, and to communicate clearly and professionally.

You will be able to work calmly under pressure, exercise sound judgement, and prioritise tasks effectively in a dynamic environment. Experience supporting major events, workforce operations, accreditation systems, or visa processes would be highly advantageous, as would experience working with international stakeholders or within multi-stakeholder delivery environments.

Above all, you will be proactive, reliable, and motivated to contribute to the successful delivery of Glasgow 2026, with a strong commitment to operational excellence and teamwork.
