Position Overview
The Boutique Assistant Manager is a cornerstone of the Abel Richard experience in London supporting the Boutique Director in curating a world-class environment where excellence, intimacy, and artistry converge.
The ideal candidate possesses an innate understanding of European luxury culture, extensive experience serving international UHNW clientele, and a refined ability to balance leadership, client engagement, and operational precision. This individual will be both a mentor and a tastemaker, embodying the quiet confidence and discernment synonymous with Bond Street sophistication.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Sales Excellence
* Represent Abel Richard with elegance, empathy, and authority in every interaction.
* Foster and expand relationships with UHNW and international clients, delivering personalized, discreet, and meaningful experiences.
* Support the Boutique Director in achieving and surpassing boutique sales objectives and performance KPIs.
* Partner with leadership to orchestrate private appointments, trunk shows, and bespoke activations for collectors and connoisseurs.
* Champion client development through CRM mastery, ensuring seamless follow-up and exceptional after-sales service.
* Engage London’s dynamic calendar of art, fashion, and cultural events to cultivate new relationships and maintain visibility among elite circles.
Team & Boutique Leadership
* Lead, inspire, and mentor Client Advisors to embody the Abel Richard spirit of refinement and excellence.
* Oversee boutique operations, from inventory management to visual presentation, ensuring all details reflect the Maison’s standards.
* Collaborate with the Boutique Director to evaluate boutique performance, optimize operations, and elevate the overall client journey.
* Act as Boutique Director delegate in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and maintaining an environment of calm authority and precision.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in ultra-luxury retail, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior advisory position.
* Proven record of success working with UHNW and international clientele, ideally within high jewelry, fine watches, or couture maisons.
* Strong network and familiarity with London’s luxury landscape and global client base.
* Impeccable presentation, refined communication, and genuine discretion.
* Fluency in English required; additional European or Middle Eastern languages (French, Arabic, Mandarin, Russian) highly preferred.
* Advanced command of CRM systems and boutique operations management.
Compensation & Privileges
* Earning Potential: (base + commission)
