Cover Teacher – Secondary School – Winchester, Hampshire
Start Date: Immediate | Contract Type: Full-Time, Adhoc basis
Salary: £90 – £140 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Cover Teachers to join secondary mainstream schools in Winchester on an adhoc, full-time basis starting immediately.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering lessons, supervising classes, and supporting students’ learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You will work closely with school staff to maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment. This position is ideal for teachers seeking flexible work or students aspiring to build a career in education.
Your Responsibilities as a Cover Teacher:
* Deliver lesson content and supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
* Ensure students remain focused and engaged in learning activities
* Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment
* Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and school instructions
* Monitor student behaviour and report any issues to relevant staff
* Assist in supporting students’ academic and social development
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom culture
* Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure continuity of learning
Cover Teacher Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or in a school setting as a Cover Teacheror similar is desirable
* Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach
* A degree in Education or UK teaching qualification is desirable.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education
