The Role
As a PSA Engineer – DTS, you will manage and optimize the Energy Management System (EMS) to ensure reliable and secure system performance. The role involves configuration, tuning, and patching of GE PowerOn Reliance or equivalent EMS platforms, model validation, and resolution of technical issues. You’ll also handle code deployment, testing, and monitoring, while supporting continuous system improvements and operational stability.
Key responsibilities:
* Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) system through application configuration, tuning and security patching preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software, as well as EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.
* Be responsible for model validation and defect fixing for DTS system.
* Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system.
* Conduct code review, deployment, testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modification.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.
* Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
* Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
* Solid experience in Power system applications including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, Load Frequency Control (AGC), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) with expertise in model validation event creation.
* Experience in programming languages for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PERL, or similar. SQL & Shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
* Previous experience with Simulated RTU, Simulated IED, Console.
* Experience in ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus, Data Modeling, XML/JSON.
