A welcoming and supportive primary school in Brentwood is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs.

About the Role
In this role, you’ll be providing tailored support to pupils who need a little extra help with their learning, confidence, and day-to-day routines. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure pupils feel supported, understood, and able to achieve their best.

Your Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, learning delays)
* Providing one-to-one and small group support inside and outside the classroom
* Helping adapt learning activities to suit individual needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
* Working alongside teaching staff, the SENCO, and parents to track progress
* Creating a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar setting)
* A patient, calm, and adaptable approach to learning support
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine desire to help children achieve their full potential
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* CACHE Level 2/3 or similar qualification is helpful, but not essential
