We're seeking a dedicated Automotive Academy Trainer to join the team at the SAGA Truck and Van Training Academy in Dartford – part of the Mercedes-Benz Truck and Van dealer network.
As part of the recently acquired RCM SAGA Group, operating dealerships across France, Switzerland, and Belgium, we're entering an exciting phase of growth in the UK. Join us in delivering top-quality apprenticeship training that blends hands-on experience with technical expertise – and help develop the next generation of skilled HGV technicians.
What You'll Do:
* Deliver engaging, hands-on training as part of the IMI-accredited Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician programme.
* Teach and assess apprentices both in classroom and workshop settings at our in-house training college in Dartford.
* Visit our Apprentices in our other locations of Sittingbourne, Tonbridge, Ashford, Witham, Thurrock, Welham Green, Ipswich and Norwich.
* Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and ongoing support to help apprentices succeed in their careers.
* Collaborate with mentors and workshop managers to align practical experience with academic learning.
* Maintain accurate training records and support learners' progress in line with industry standards.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong technical knowledge and the ability to teach effectively in both workshop and classroom settings.
* A genuine interest in developing young talent.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to inspire and build rapport with apprentices and mentors.
* Experience working with young people in training or mentoring environments.
* Confidence using general computer systems to manage training materials and learner records.
* Willingness to undergo and pass a DBS check.
