Accounting & General is a growing accountancy firm looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified Client Manager with tax experience to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting time in the company's history with growth of 20% achieved last year and signs that this will be exceeded in 2026.
Our new recruit will be a proactive individual dedicated to excellent customer service and best practice. With a proven track record of working with and supporting business owners, SMEs, partnerships, not-for-profit organisations and private individuals.
A&G was founded in 2012 to specialise in leisure and hospitality but has grown to encompass all aspects of general practice with a client base approaching the 300 mark. We offer a full range of bookkeeping, accounts, payroll and vat and are proud that we don't outsource any of our work.
We are now eight strong (about six full time equivalent) with two ACCA and three AAT qualified staff plus a Level 3 apprentice. We enjoy excellent staff retention plus a number who returned to the fold after going off and gaining experience in industry and at other practices.
We recently moved to new harbourside managed offices in Brixham after outgrowing our Galmpton base but have retained our focus on personal service. We don't hide behind a telephone system or schedule you to talk with us only at certain times. Staff are encouraged to treat clients as individuals and understand anything being done from the client's perspective.
We are looking for someone who is:
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with extensive practice experience
* A strong communicator keen to share their knowledge with staff and clients
* Good technical knowledge, particularly in tax
* Up-to-date with current developments
* A team player
* Good organisational and planning skills
