Job Outline:
The Quote Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure successful timely delivery and appropriate execution of critical quotations from key customers following a defined strategy that supports the overall objectives of Future EMEA. This process will involve working with Sales, Customers and Quote teams to ensure a clear strategy is jointly defined, analysing and co-ordinating the clean-up of raw quotes and then achieving the support and buy-in of the quoting team to ensure successful and timely quote execution. Quotes need to be reviewed, returned to Sales and feedback then collated and used to influence future quoting strategy.
The role will require a great deal of interaction with the Sales, Manufacturers and the Quoting team in order to ensure a correct strategy is set and executed upon.
What the role involves:
* To qualify each quote opportunity from the branch to establish whether Strategic Business Development Unit (SBDU) can add value through the quote process
* Analyse and co-ordinate the clean-up of raw quotes and Request For Quote (RFQ) upload
* Ensure visibility to the entire quote, including Future Group of Companys (FGC) potential lines
* To work with the Quote team and sales to create a quote strategy for each opportunity which will enhance Future’s advantage in the quote process as well as providing all the information required for other departments to facilitate offering sales a ‘quote to win’
* Ensure whenever possible that the quote turnaround time allows an adequate time for all departments within Future to effectively execute on the opportunity
* Effectively communicate the quote strategy to Quote team thus allowing them to deliver a quality quote back to SBDU and hence to sales
* Review the quote ensuring that we work to meet the original quote strategy and customer expectations. Liaise with senior marketing personnel to utilise all knowledge and expertise in the quote process
* Through the quote review process ensure that the quote maximises profitability while delivering a competitive quote to win
* Return & ‘sell’ the quote to sales outlining in detail the quotes strengths and weaknesses & provide a comprehensive quote summary referencing original quote strategy
* Actively collate feedback on every quote provided, collate this feedback and ensure its use to shape future strategies
* Participate in quote closure & negotiation at customer facing level where experience and circumstances allow
* Work towards quote conversion goals within assigned regions/customers which would be set in conjunction with Strategic Business Development Manager (SBDM)
Do you have?
* Will have ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience within Future Electronics or within the electronics industry or with pricing background.
* Commercially aware and is able to use their industry knowledge to maximise Future’s competitive advantage.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills for internal and external application.
* Able to organise and prioritise workload, act in a proactive manner
* Able to work on multiple tasks in a fast pace environment
* High attention to details and accuracy
* Able to work on your own and as part of a team.
Should be at ease with high levels of numeric data & proficient in MS Excel
