May 2026 UK applicants only – no sponsorship availableAbout the RoleAs an Autism Practitioner, you will support students to access and engage with their learning in a safe, structured, and stimulating environment. Working closely with teachers, tutors, and the wider multi-professional team, you will provide tailored support that promotes independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing.You will also assist in planning, delivering, and adapting resources and interventions to meet individual needs.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport teachers and tutors in delivering high-quality, inclusive education for students with autismAssist in the implementation of school policies, procedures, and individualised education plansProvide targeted one-to-one and small group support to enable students to access the curriculum with increasing independencePromote students’ physical, academic, social, and moral developmentOrganise and maintain engaging classroom environments, including resources and displaysContribute to the preparation and upkeep of student documentation, such as Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Communication Profiles, Risk Assessments, and Pastoral Support PlansWork collaboratively with staff to ensure student safety both on and off-site, in line with risk assessmentsContribute to the school’s ongoing development, improvement plans, and wider initiativesAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who:GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at minimum Level 4 (Grade C)Has experience working with pupils with autism and/or challenging behaviourCan work independently and as part of a teamHas strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenIs adaptable, patient, and proactive, committed to helping pupils achieve their potentialAbout Us Baston House School is an independent day specialist school in Bromley, Kent, supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated needs.
