The Opportunity
Are you an ambitious and highly committed leader with a proven track record in operational mobilisation and driving commercial performance? Parkwood Leisure is seeking a dynamic National Mobilisation and Performance Manager to join our integral management team. This pivotal role will be key in mobilising new business and enhancing the commercial performance of our existing estate across the UK. You will be flexible and mobile, attending to contracts nationwide, and work closely with the Operations Director to maximise business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Mobilisation: Lead the mobilisation of new sites or networks of sites from the preferred bidder stage, developing clear plans for all departments and ensuring smooth contract start-ups and close-downs. You will work with local contract teams for the first three months to ensure comprehensive operational and contractual management.
* Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong client relations, negotiate on contractual issues, and establish solutions to enhance client satisfaction and resolve dissatisfaction. Ensure continuous contract compliance through appropriate reporting.
* Performance Management: Achieve clear targets and projects identified by the Operations Director, working across various business facets including Aquatics, Health and Fitness, Health & Safety, and Retail.
* Business Development: Assist the Strategic Director in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, ensuring a seamless transition from securing new business to contract commissioning and stabilisation of financial and operational performance.
* General Leadership: Act as an ambassador for Parkwood Leisure, promoting our core values and actively participating in industry development groups. Provide leadership and command respect within the business, clearly communicating all decisions. Occasionally work on-site with underperforming contracts or those requiring additional assistance.
About You
* Demonstrable competencies in general management, with preferred experience in the leisure industry or support sector.
* A relevant Degree, National Diploma, NCH, or appropriate professional qualification; management qualifications are advantageous.
* Credibility gained from a successful track record that earns acceptance from clients and employees.
* Flexible in style, thinking, and working location at defined contract times, with an open and approachable personality.
* Enthusiastic with a high energy level, strong relationship-building skills, and well-organised.
* Good presentation skills, numerically confident, strong IT literacy, and the ability to produce professional reports.
* Decisive decision-making skills and a demonstrable range of people management skills.
* Financial awareness, with the ability to deliver medium-term financial planning and clear-sighted operational management skills.
* A clear identification with Parkwood Leisure's customer requirements and a strong customer/client care focus.
* Ability to manage complex operations with geographically dispersed and diversely tasked operatives, requiring high service levels.
* Ability to identify opportunities for the Company and a demonstrable Health and Safety culture.
