Job Title: Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer
Rate: £35-£40 per hour (6-month contract)
Location: Lighthorne, Warwick
We are seeking a Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have direct automotive industry experience and a thorough understanding of automotive processes. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can adapt to our company's professional environment and work directly with customers and suppliers.
The Vehicle System Integration Engineer will support vehicle build and commissioning processes, as well as identify, manage, and resolve quality and warranty issues in ongoing vehicle programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing the build of development vehicles and lab-cars.
2. Planning vehicle/lab-car commissioning sequences.
3. Supporting the commissioning of vehicle systems during sequential system bring-up.
4. Applying knowledge of vehicle control systems and their internal operations.
5. Analyzing quality and warranty data from sources like AWS, durability tests, customer feedback, and dealer communications.
6. Performing root cause analysis to resolve field issues and validate corrective actions.
7. Collaborating with component/system owners, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to implement solutions.
8. Managing software and hardware updates to enhance functionality and build efficiency.
9. Reporting findings to customers and internal teams.

Technical Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive EE systems, components, development, and testing.
* Background in electrical design and/or software implementation.
* Experience with vehicle system integration in OEM or Tier 1 environments.
* Ability to commission and test system architecture and manage feature implementation.
* Experience with testing on rigs, lab-cars, and vehicles.
* Ability to develop and execute vehicle DVPs.
* Proficiency with Vector Canoe/Canalyser, and analysis of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, LVDS communication buses.
* Knowledge of vehicle power distribution and debugging power supply issues.
* Familiarity with HV procedures and accreditation.
* Experience with software download processes.
* Ability to communicate effectively regarding quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Good knowledge of low-voltage vehicle electrical systems.
