About the Role
Coordinate all aspects of the meetings and events office. Manage enquiries, conduct site visits, attend trade shows, and follow up to secure business. Conduct telesales as needed, in line with hotel guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in developing wedding and events sales goals.
* Manage the meetings and events diary/software.
* Operate within budget constraints.
* Meet sales and profit targets through solicitation and selling.
* Prepare proposals to maximize profit and guest satisfaction.
* Use effective sales techniques.
* Confirm business and conduct client inspections.
* Foster additional business, repeat bookings, and referrals.
* Coordinate with other departments for booked events.
* Communicate effectively with all departments.
* Conduct competitor analysis.
* Handle special requests and VIP accommodations accurately.
* Keep management informed of booking status.
* Track reservations and follow up on commissions and fees.
* Liaise with Accounts regarding credit matters.

Report hazards, understand emergency procedures, ensure safety, and maintain personal hygiene and appearance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality.
