Salary: 12.95 Per Hour
Hours: 40 per week
A co-educational independent boarding school in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, for children aged between 12 and 18 years. Catering for just under 400 students and teachers daily. The school operates 7 days a week so working patterns would be 5 out of 7 days. Free parking is available at the school.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established and friendly team at our prestigious location in Perth.
You will play a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
* Assist with pot wash duties and general kitchen cleaning
* Help chefs with some food preparation as required
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
* Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using provided instructions and materials, including air filters and extraction systems
* Operate industrial dishwasher
Skills and Experience
* Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
* Excellent customer service skills
* Great team player
* Ability to work as part of a team and support Chefs with food prep
* Flexible and willing to work 5 out of 7 days
We Are Looking For
* Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential
* Can-do attitude
* Organisational skills
Knowledge / Competencies
* Good spoken and written English
* Experience in customer and/or food preparation environments is preferred
