A fast-growing technology scale-up operating in the AI and analytics space is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to drive technical delivery and provide hands-on leadership across its core engineering function. This role sits at the heart of product and platform development, combining people leadership with deep technical contribution across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, software engineering and AI-driven solutions.
As Engineering Team Lead, you’ll guide a cross-functional team of engineers while remaining technically active, shaping architecture, improving delivery practices and ensuring high-quality, scalable systems. Working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders, you’ll balance long-term technical vision with near-term delivery and commercial priorities.

What You Need
* Significant experience in software or platform engineering, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role
* Proven ability to lead, mentor and scale high-performing engineering teams
* Strong hands-on expertise across AWS infrastructure, DevOps and cloud-native architectures
* Solid background in software engineering, including backend and/or frontend development
* High proficiency in Java and Python
* Experience delivering solutions in B2B SaaS, scale-up or high-growth environments
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps best practices
* Experience with agile delivery, sprint planning and backlog management
* Ability to balance technical strategy with business and commercial priorities
* Excellent communication skills with experience working cross-functionally with Product and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience embedding security, compliance and ISO 27001-aligned practices into engineering workflows
* Understanding of AI engineering practices, including MLOps, prompt engineering and AI-assisted development
* Experience building or supporting internal tools, automation or AI-driven productivity solutions
* Exposure to Azure infrastructure
