* Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Working knowledge of Sewers for Adoption / OFWAT Design and Construction Guide
* Ability to undertake rising main and pumping station calculations
* Experience in designing & delivering projects within the water or similar industries
* Knowledge in the design and selection of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, air blowers, chemical dosing plant, screening equipment, walkways, and access
* Ability to undertake sump and pipework design for various pump installations
* Experience commissioning complex pumping systems and working knowledge of WIMES specifications and control philosophies
* Deep understanding of UK design standards and practices
* Experience complying with CDM 2015, DSEAR, and ATEX regulations
* Understanding of designer responsibilities under CDM regulations
* Knowledge of H&S risks in water/sewerage operations and construction
* Strong communication skills for interaction with colleagues, other disciplines, and clients
* Ability to work independently, leading projects, teams, and staff
* Experience delivering projects across frameworks, collaborating with project managers and design teams
* Experience preparing reference and detailed designs, reports, specifications, and proposals
* Mentoring skills within the design team
* Previous water company experience
* Chartered Mechanical Engineer or 10+ years of experience
