Our client are a leading Waste Management firm that have UK and European wide coverage. Due to expansion they are actively looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to join their team. You will be working within a small team of HGV technicians. You'll work on a modern and diverse fleet of RORO, Artic & Rigid HGV's and Trailers.


HGV Mechanic Job Overview

* Carry out both scheduled, servicing, inspections, Pre-MOT inspections and unscheduled repairs to a high standard
* MOT Presentation
* Fault diagnosis
* Welding and fabricating
* Attend internal and external training
* Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

HGV Mechanic Job Requirements

* Relevant engineering qualification (preferably within the motor transport sector).
* Ability to diagnose and rectify faults
* Basic hydraulic knowledge
* Good health and safety awareness
* Must be able to work under their own initiative with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the customer (internal)

HGV Mechanic Job Package & Benefits

1. Salary £46,000 - £50,000
2. Overtime rates 1.5 times over standard hours and 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays
3. Monday - Friday Core Hours
