Band 6 Neurological Physiotherapist – Rotational
This role involves working as a rotational Band 6 Neurological Physiotherapist providing specialist assessment and treatment for patients with complex neurological conditions across inpatient and community settings. The post holder will manage an independent caseload, work as part of the multidisciplinary team, and deliver high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation using evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities
* Undertake comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex neurological conditions using advanced clinical reasoning.
* Manage an independent caseload, prioritising workload to meet service and patient needs.
* Deliver individualised, evidence-based physiotherapy programmes and evaluate patient progress.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner while contributing to effective multidisciplinary team working and coordinated care planning.
* Support discharge planning and continuity of care across inpatient and community services.
* Provide education and support to patients, carers and other professionals to promote rehabilitation and self-management.
* Supervise, support and develop junior staff, students and rehabilitation assistants.
* Contribute to audit, research, service development and quality improvement activities.
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional, legal and Trust standards.
* Promote the Trust’s values, delivering compassionate, inclusive and patient-centred care.
