Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 (based on experience & qualifications, 37.5 hours/week)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts across a 7-day rota

We’re working with a values-led, family-run care provider in Kent who specialise in high-quality, relationship-based care for children and young people. As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of the home-helping to create a stable, nurturing environment where every child feels safe and supported.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing:
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
* Support children in their daily routines including meals, school, appointments, and leisure activities
* Provide emotional support and help manage challenging behaviour using trauma-informed practices
* Promote independence, life skills, and social development
* Ensure the home is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained
* Work closely with colleagues and professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care
You’ll Need:
* Experience working with children or young people in a residential or care setting
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
* A caring, resilient, and empathetic nature
* Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
* A commitment to providing the best possible outcomes for every child
