Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in education and mental health? We are recruiting for a rewarding role supporting children with SEMH needs in a specialist school setting in Horley.
About the Role:
You'll be working closely with pupils who require additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour, and mental wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity to build practical experience in a nurturing and structured environment, ideal for those pursuing careers in:
* Educational Psychology
* Child & Adolescent Mental Health
* SEN Teaching
* Counselling & Therapy
* Social Work
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
* Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Build trusting relationships and promote positive engagement
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Requirements:
* A degree in Psychology (or related subject)
* A genuine interest in supporting children with SEMH needs
* Resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
