The Role
As an Account Handler, you'll support Account Executives and take ownership of the day‑to‑day servicing of client insurance programmes. You'll play a key role in ensuring clients receive responsive, accurate, and high‑quality service throughout the lifecycle of their policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a main point of contact for clients, handling queries efficiently
* Build strong relationships, particularly within farming and rural businesses
* Provide clear, professional advice across policies, renewals, and adjustments
* Process new business, renewals, and mid‑term adjustments
* Prepare renewal documentation and support renewal cycles
* Obtain and present insurer quotations
* Maintain accurate records and issue policy documentation
* Develop relationships with insurers and underwriters
* Negotiate terms and secure competitive cover for clients
* Ensure FCA and internal compliance standards are met
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records
* Support general office administration within a small team
About You
Essential:
* Experience in commercial insurance broking or account handling
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building ability
* High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
* Experience within agricultural or rural insurance
* Knowledge of Acturis
* Understanding of FCA compliance requirements
