Experience:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to join our team in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory management, coordinating shipments, and supporting the overall logistics process. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in warehouse administration within a freight forwarding or logistics setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
* Oversee the day-to-day activities in the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and record-keeping.
* Maintain up-to-date stock levels and report discrepancies.
* Perform regular inventory audits and update inventory systems.
Shipment Coordination:
* Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
* Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure proper documentation is in place.
Warehouse Operations:
* Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
* Collaborate with the warehouse team to track orders, ensure correct labelling, and prepare items for dispatch.
* Ensure proper handling of goods and adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Data Entry and Reporting:
* Input and update data into the warehouse management system (WMS) and other relevant databases.
* Generate reports on inventory levels, shipments, and performance metrics as required.
* Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities and transactions.
Customer Service Support:
* Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipments, inventory status, and order processing.
* Coordinate with internal departments to resolve any shipping or inventory-related issues.
Compliance and Safety:
* Ensure warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Assist with maintaining compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including customs procedures.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in warehouse administration, logistics, or freight forwarding (preferred).
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
Skills:
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and other relevant software.
* A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (preferred).

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
