**Senior QA Engineer Job Advert**LSEG Data Management Solution (LDMS) is a modular system for the collection of commodities and financial data curves, which typically include forecast and actual commodity consumption and production, and actual and forecast market prices. It aggregates data from systems across LSEG, as well third party and customers’ own systems. It’s an important service, which is embedded in the workflows of many of our largest customers.The Senior QA Engineer will liaise with clients, development teams, and/or other staff under the direction of the QA Team Lead to play a key role in providing test services both to clients and internally. The Senior QA Engineer will help ensure LSEG has clear and precise test processes and other required documentation. They will also participate in product support to the client base. Excellent technical skills, effective communication, the ability to understand business requirements and implement effective and efficient solutions is key to the role.At LSEG, we consider on providing opportunities equally as priority, we strive to establish teams that are diverse and encourage coordinated working and sharing of ideas!**Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:*** Work closely with development teams to understand product architecture, functionality, and to ensure project success* Take a proactive approach to identification, prevention and support for defects* Writing automated test and test harnesses application and services under test.* Writing and reviewing test strategies, test plans and test cases based on agile stories and/or product requirements* Contribute to the automation framework Development**Essential Skills/Experience Required:*** 3+ year of quality engineer experience with a proven background in writing structured automated tests* Demonstrable experience in **Web application** and **REST API** automation test framework and in developing high quality automation frameworks.* Experience in TypeScript or JavaScript programming language* Experience in **BDD, TDD, Data driven**and **Hybrid automation**frameworks.* Demonstrable experience to programmatically test products; measure test coverage; develop automation, profiling, and performance/ load testing tools.* Experience with **Web application standards and REST API's (Web services, JSON, HTTP, HTTPs)*** Experience with automation, web deployment and engineering environment tools like Jira, Gitlab, Gitlab Pipeline* Experience in **testing applications on Cloud infrastructure (Azure)**is a plus* Experience using Git commands is a must* Dedicated, hard-working, a teammate with a "can do" attitude* Adaptable and can quickly learn new technologies**Desired Skills/Experience Required:*** Good experience using **PlayWright** and Web Elements* Good understanding of object-oriented programming techniques* Experience in using technology/tools such as: VS Code, Locust, Insomnia**Personal Attributes:*** Integrity and trustworthiness* Respect for others* Cultural awareness and sensitivity* Flexibility and adaptability* Strong work ethic and accountability* Proactive, continuous-learning demeanour**Career Stage:**Senior Associate**London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Information:**Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
