SEN Teaching Assistant – Twickenham

A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Twickenham is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This school caters for pupils with a range of needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. The staff work collaboratively to create a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
The Role:
Support students in the classroom on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
Help students develop key life and learning skills through structured support.
Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to ensure each pupil’s needs are met. The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth settings).
Patient, adaptable and empathetic approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Available full-time, with a current enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one). What’s on Offer:
