Overview
As Director of Sales at the Holiday Inn Shepperton you will lead all commercial sales activities across key market segments including Corporate Transient, MICE, Groups, and Leisure. This is a proactive and client-facing role, responsible for driving top-line revenue, developing strategic sales plans, and cultivating strong client relationships. The Director of Sales will lead a motivated team, including the Groups, Meetings & Events team and the Proactive Sales Manager, to ensure consistent performance and growth across all channels.

* Highly motivated, proactive, and client-centric approach.
* Knowledge of the local market and strong industry connections is an advantage.

Responsibilities
* Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy across Corporate, MICE, Group, and Leisure; identify new business opportunities; analyse market trends and competitor activity; work with the IHG Key Account Team to maximise opportunities; ensure account production is up to date; develop new and existing accounts for Storyboard; coordinate with marketing for content and social media to promote the hotel; engage with Storyboard strategy (live events, local attractions, event space, weddings, charity events); ensure the hotel commercial plan is actively completed; maintain market position with RGI targets.
* Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the Groups, Meetings & Events team and the Proactive Sales Manager; set clear performance goals, monitor KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews; foster a collaborative, results-driven culture.
* Client Engagement: Act as the face of the hotel\'s sales operation; build and maintain relationships with key accounts, partners, and event planners; represent the hotel at trade shows and client presentations; manage high-value accounts and key contract negotiations.
* Commercial Execution: Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to align sales with business objectives; report on performance, forecast revenue, and drive strategic initiatives; deliver accurate reporting and competitive analysis to stakeholders.
