We're looking for a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf to provide specialist teaching, advice, and support for children and young people with hearing impairment, ensuring their educational, social, and emotional needs are met in inclusive settings. Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Qualified Teacher of the Deaf who is committed to inclusive education and improving outcomes for children and young people with hearing impairment.
You must:
· Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
· Hold the mandatory qualification to teach children and young people with hearing impairment.
· Have experience across a range of key stages (ideally at least three of EYFS, KS1–KS4).
· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate others.
· Hold a full driving licence and be able to travel across North East Lincolnshire.
It would be desirable if you also:
· Hold a BSL Level 1 qualification
· Have experience in developing and delivering training.
· Are confident using and maintaining specialist equipment and assistive technology.
· Have strong knowledge of SEND legislation, inclusive practices, and the impact of hearing loss on development.
