Syos is a rapidly growing robotics and aerospace company, developing cutting-edge uncrewed vehicles (drones) for air, land, and sea applications. We are dedicated to advancing technology and delivering exceptional products that exceed customer expectations.
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth. This key role involves securing direct sales and long-term contracts for our unmanned systems, shaping sales strategies, and working closely with the Commercial Director to capitalize on market opportunities, significantly contributing to our revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to penetrate target markets, identify key opportunities, and build strong relationships.
* Identify and close direct sales opportunities for our unmanned systems (UAV, USV, UGV).
* Engage proactively with defence and government clients to understand their needs and present our solutions.
* Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to government clients, showcasing our technology's value.
* Monitor relevant tenders in your region and assist in developing winning bids alongside the Commercial Director.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders.
* Track sales activities, manage pipelines, and provide sales forecasts.
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and procurement processes.
* Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs and communicate feedback effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven success in business development and sales, with a strong understanding of sales processes and target achievement.
* Experience in the unmanned systems industry, with knowledge of UAV technologies and applications.
* Experience selling to government clients, with understanding of procurement regulations.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
* Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, with a sense of ownership.
* Willingness to travel within the UK/EU region.
* Interest in learning about complex products.
* Experience with USV and UGV technologies is a plus but not essential.
