We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Business Analyst within Payments.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
You will be responsible for helping the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.
Key Accountabilities:
* Responsible for gathering the requirements and supporting the design, either leading the analysis on a small project or leading a workstream on a larger programme
* Thinking outside the box to support the effective delivery of the requirements with recommendations
* Will include working as part of the project team, supporting the delivery of an agreed roadmap. Estimating and agreeing timescales for delivery timeframes, lining up with the overall delivery
* Following and adhering to all governance processes to gain the appropriate sign off and agreement, also aligning to the wider bank strategy
Stakeholder Management and Leadership:
* Work with the wider project team to understand the needs of each stakeholder throughout the change project, and how these can be fulfilled by the project team.
* Business analysts spend a great deal of time interacting with users, clients, management and developers.
* A project's success may depend upon the business analyst clearly communicating details like project requirements, requested changes and testing results.
Decision-making and Problem Solving:
* Another important business analyst skill is the ability to make decisions.
* As a consultant to management and advisor to developers, the business analyst is called upon for sound judgement in a wide variety of business matters, any number of which could determine the viability of the project.
* A business analyst should be able to assess a situation, receive input from stakeholders, and recommend a course of action.
Risk and Control Objective:
* Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Solid analysis skills, with the ability to analyse a range of data, using sources of various systems and stakeholders, being able to present back, and provide recommendations on options and supporting to get to the solution
* Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills, including negation and influencing skills
* Good understanding of Agile (Scrum and Kanban), and waterfall methodologies, including Strong knowledge of Lifecycle Management
* Understanding of data transfer / API's and Cloud based applications
* Understanding of SQL
* Good understanding of Financial Regulations and an interest in Banking
* Knowledge in Payment technologies
* Knowledge of the Payment Industry
