Our client is a renowned and admired FMCG manufacturing giant enjoying UK dominance and market leading status in their category sector. An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer; mechanical or electrical bias, to hit the ground running on a permanent basis. Electrical qualifications are preferred for this role
Key Responsibilities – Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Packaging
1. Responsible for a combination of planned and reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiency
2. Perform fault-finding and diagnosis on a range of PLC controlled equipment
3. Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring a rapid response on plant equipment and machinery breakdowns
4. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of Automation machinery including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots
5. Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
6. Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, moving and packing high quality products, packaged and prepared for delivery
7. Continually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site
8. Agree preventative electrical maintenance plans
Qualifications & Requirements – Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Packaging
9. Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline in electrical mechanical in maintenance engineering
10. Ideally automated materials handling and or packaging machines
11. Production line experience but qualified engineers will be offered training and development
12. A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
13. Computer literate
