We are seeking a Mobile Electrician to deliver high-quality mechanical and building services maintenance across client sites in Scotland.
This role will focus primarily on the Central Belt (Edinburgh and Glasgow) and will support the delivery of a world-class building services maintenance service through fault finding, repairs, planned maintenance and installation work.
Job Description
This is a fully mobile position covering a range of locations, and requires a versatile engineer comfortable working independently across electrical, minor mechanical, and fabric tasks as needed.
The role includes responsibility for safe systems of work, permit issuing and ensuring high levels of compliance at all sites attended.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver day-to-day planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across Scottish Power sites.
* Ensure routine maintenance is carried out on building plant, equipment and associated systems.
* Maintain electrical systems in line with NICEIC standards.
* Support both planned and reactive engineering tasks as required.
* Ensure water systems comply with L8 ACOP requirements.
* Maintain accurate compliance records for all equipment and activities.
* Issue permits to work for high-risk activities and ensure safe working practices.
* Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
* Supervise engineering subcontractors on site and ensure high-quality delivery.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with client and internal teams.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Experienced FM maintenance electrician with strong fault-finding ability.
* Excellent knowledge of the operation, maintenance and installation of electrical services, plant and equipment.
* Proven experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, PPM, reactive work, installation and inspection/testing.
* Fully electrically qualified (including 18th Edition).
* Competence in minor mechanical and fabric tasks.
* Strong understanding of safe systems of work, including permits to work.
* Valid UK driving licence (mobile role).
