As an Engineer, Digital Process at the AMRF, you'll be at the forefront of bringing digital transformation to manufacturing‑designing and rolling out smart factory systems, digital twins, and integrated platforms that boost productivity, precision, and connectivity.
You’ll get hands‑on with everything from developing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to integrating IT and OT systems, making sure manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll tackle the challenge of connecting new tech with legacy systems, keeping up with fast‑moving digital trends, and balancing cybersecurity with seamless data flow. Every day, you’ll be looking for ways to automate, optimise, and innovate‑helping both the AMRF and its customers stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and digital manufacturing technologies, with experience in industrial automation systems, SCADA, MES, and manufacturing software platforms.
* Knowledge of data analytics, digital twin development, and proficiency in programming languages relevant to manufacturing systems (Python, C++, SQL or similar).
* Experience integrating IT and OT systems in manufacturing environments with an understanding of cybersecurity requirements for industrial systems and knowledge of manufacturing standards and protocols (OPC‑UA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, etc).
* Experience with cloud platforms and edge computing for manufacturing applications, along with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and PLM software systems.
* Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline required.
