SEN Primary Teacher (QTS) – Bury, Greater Manchester
We are recruiting a committed SEN Primary Teacher (QTS) to work within a specialist SEN school or provision in Bury. This role is ideal for a primary teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured, supportive environment.
You will deliver personalised, child-centred learning that supports academic progress, communication, emotional regulation and independence.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum and individual SEN profiles.
* Lead personalised learning programmes and contribute to EHCP targets and review processes.
* Create a calm, consistent classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
* Support pupils with autism, communication needs, sensory processing difficulties and developmental delays.
* Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, teaching assistants and wider support staff.
* Monitor progress through observations, assessments and accurate record-keeping.
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience teaching at primary level (mainstream or SEN).
* Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
* Calm, patient and adaptable teaching style.
* Full availability Monday–Friday during school hours.

Preferred (Not Essential)
* Experience teaching pupils with autism, SEMH, ADHD or complex needs.
* Experience in specialist SEN or alternative provision settings.
* Knowledge of EHCP processes and personalised learning pathways.

Vetting & Compliance
* Two years of employment references.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (support available).
* Overseas Police checks if applicable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
