Position: Manager, Financial Analyst at Raunds
Reporting to the Senior Finance & Admin Manager, the Manager will oversee the central UK & IE Finance & Admin team, supporting all locations with standardised, accurate financial analysis, reporting, customer invoicing, and cost management.
1. Manage the team to complete timely, accurate weekly financial reporting and processing of cost/revenue.
2. Understand and perform appropriate month-end tasks, including budget/forecast management.
3. Analyse and provide commentary on results - perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
4. Continuously improve processes and reporting to maximize automation.
5. Create new reports for specific projects or business initiatives to provide performance insights.
6. Ensure the team works to the agreed RPP and is trained to the required level.
Key Tasks
* Maintain the quality and accuracy of customer invoicing & financial reporting to enable fact-based, insightful decision-making. Seek to continually improve processes, maximizing automation.
* Monitor the performance of all direct and indirect reports, undertaking regular reviews. Ensure the employee engagement concept (People Plan/appraisal system) is embedded and practiced.
* Reconcile revenue and cost management systems to ensure correct period posting. Identify where revenue/cost accruals are necessary and follow the process. Understand the accrual process to ensure accruals are dropped or carried forward as needed. Perform P&L variance analysis with commentary and recommendations. Support the budget/forecast process with in-depth analysis. Provide ad hoc analysis for site-specific needs.
* Lead finance discussions for projects such as new customers, sites, or customer moves/exits. Understand and manage the CAPEX process, maintain cost trackers, and create new customer invoice files.
* Maintain effective communication with site management up to General Manager level. Ensure rate/profile changes are clearly communicated and reflected in invoice files.
* Promote and support continuous improvement programs at sites, ensuring costs/savings are captured.
* Represent DSV Solutions professionally, maintaining regular communication through team briefings about developments affecting the company.
